Hotel du Chateau Pontivy has been recommended to us by cyclists who stayed here. "It's on the Nantes-Brest Canal and cycle friendly with an outside locked storeroom. It was very welcoming and near the centre," they write. It's owned by Marie and Christophe Gautier, who have run the hotel since 2017. Rooms are clean and modern, and all are acessed by an elevator. There's an on-site bar. Daily buffet breakfast. Free public parking if you're arriving by car or campervan. The hotel is a 10-minute walk to the city centre for evening meals or sightseeing, and 1.2km from the Pontivy train station. Free wifi.
