Cycling holiday to the highlights of the French Basque country

This is a wonderful self-guided loop around the French Basque country that starts in Biarritz and finishes back there 8 days later after some amazing riding on quiet country roads or cycle paths. Along the way, visit Bayonne – famed for its colourful timbered houses – and Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port, a beautiful stopover on the route of the Santiago de Compostela. Throughout the trip, enjoy the delicious local products such as the famous Espelette chilli peppers and Basque tarts to give you lots of energy. The itinerary also takes you to the Atlantic coast on the Velodysee Euro Velo 1 bike route, passing by the coastal town of Saint-Jean-de-Luz and its cosy harbour before arriving back in Biarritz. Electric bikes are provided on this tour to help flatten the roads on the inland portion of the tour. Luggage transfers, accommodation and all maps and GPS guidance also included.
