The "Grande Boucle Flamande" (or "Great Flemish Route") is a circular 7-day cycling tour from Lille to Dunkirk and back again. Designed by the team at Ch’tis Voyages, a local French company, the circuit is intended to introduce cyclists to this beautiful region of northern France. It can be offered guided or self-guided. The route is often very flat, easy and accessible with only a few small sections on farm tracks. The last 2 days are a little more challenging as they take in two of the Monts des Flandres: the Mont des Cats and Mont Cassel. Through fields and along towpaths, country roads and forest tracks, there's plenty of variety in the scenery. The price includes a detailed road book, accommodation and an evening meal on the second night. Regular and electric bikes are available to hire if you are not bringing your own wheels. Ch’tis Voyages is a local French company, but Fabien and his team can work with you in English, and all itinerary information and notes can be provided in English too. A 5-day one-way option is also available from Lille to Dunkirk, with return travel by train.
