This 5-day self-guided bike tour provides the perfect introduction to the Dordogne Valley, taking you to the most beautiful spots along the way. Start by discovering the sweet white wine vineyards of Monbazillac and its hilltop chateau, before cycling along the banks of the Dordogne. Visit charming villages that are typical of the area. After an overnight in Le Bugue, you'll cycle the Vézère Valley, known as the "Vallée de l’Homme" (Valley of Men) due to its prehistoric sites. Visit troglodyte villages and medieval fortresses before reaching Montignac and the famous UNESCO-listed Lascaux Caves. Cycle to Sarlat, a beautiful medieval town with a rich architectural heritage. Finally, a nice loop showcases the most beautiful chateaux in the region – you'll even have the chance to exchange your bike for a canoe!
