Ride to the foot of the Mont Ventoux and cross the Luberon Regional Natural Park on this self-guided cycling holiday planned for you by the local cycling experts at Ride And More Travel. This self-guided itinerary is suitable for all abilities and it's a beguiling trip through colourful, picture-perfect landscapes, accompanied by the sounds of cicadas and the scents of local gastronomy. Start in Pernes-les-Fontaines, with its bustling cafés and market square. The villages around Mont Ventoux are nestled in the muscat vines, and surrounded by cherry orchards and truffle-oak plantations. Explore the hilltop village of Vénasque and reach a remote pass before descending into the Luberon Valley. From Gordes, arguably the most jaw-dropping of all the Luberon villages, backroads lead you from one magnificent perched village to another, many of them listed among the most beautiful in France. Explore Roussillon, painted in every hue from pale yellow to deep red from the neighbouring ochre mine. Visit the mysterious emerald-water spring of Fontaine de Vaucluse and charming Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, with its Venice-like canals. The price includes B&B in charming hotels and B&Bs, regular bikes or e-bikes, plus panniers, itineraries on a GPS app, a welcome briefing, luggage transfers, and private transfers to Avignon on the final day. You'll also benefit from a concierge service for restaurants and activities, 24/7 emergency assistance and a new helmet and water bottle. Each day you'll ride between 30km and 60km and climb between 150m and 750m. The tour can be adjusted for different abilities, budgets and wishlists.
