The Tour de France Femmes 2026 marks the fifth edition following the return of a French stage race for women.
The 2026 edition will start in Switzerland and cover nine stages totalling 1175km. It's the same number of stages as the 2025 edition, which was won by French cycling superstar Pauline Ferrand-Prévot.
After the start in Switzerland, the Tour will move to the east and south-east of France, and see two mountain stages, 3 sprint stages and 18,795 m of vertical gain, which is a new record for the women's event.
The showpiece stage will undoubtedly be stage 7, which ends atop the Ventoux.
There will also be an Étape du Tour for women, which will run as an official sportive for amateur cyclists on closed roads. It will run on August 6 from Vaison-la-Romaine to Mont Ventoux.

Stage 2: Sunday, August 2 – Aigle to Geneva, 149km

Stage 3: Monday, August 3 - Geneva to Poligny, 157km

Stage 4: Tuesday, August 4 - Gevrey-Chambertin to Dijon, 21km individual time trial

Stage 5: Wednesday, August 5 - Maçon to Belleville-en-Beaujolais, 140km

Stage 6: Thursday, August 6 - Montbrison to Tournon-sur-Rhone, 153km

Stage 7: Friday, August 7 - La Voulte-sur-Rhone to Mont Ventoux, 144km
Stage 8: Saturday, August 8 - Sisteron to Nice, 175km

Stage 9: Sunday, August 9 - Nice to Nice, 99km
