The Le Pavillon Bleu Hotel Restaurant is a basic, budget hotel recommended to us by readers on the Atlantic Coast bike route. Royan also marks the start of the official Atlantic Coast to Mediterranean bike route, the Canal des Deux Mers, which goes via Bordeaux and Toulouse to Sete. We're told there's a private, locked garage for bikes and that the staff are welcoming. Versatile accommodation with singles, twins, doubles, triples and family rooms available. Free wifi.
