A lovely two-star hotel (there are only 9 rooms, so book ahead) set in an impressive old 16th-century building in the heart of the wine-growing village of Mazan. Located just 10km south of Bedoin, it's an ideal base for tackling Mont Ventoux. Classically decorated air-conditioned rooms (each with its own distinct style) and with pretty village views. Single, double and triple rooms available, all with ensuite bathrooms. Shady terrace. Picnic baskets and packed lunches available on request. Free wifi. Bike storage area and washdown facilities. French, Portuguese and Spanish spoken. We've stayed here several times on visits to Provence – it offers affordable and friendly accommodation, plus a secure bike store.
