La Châtaigneraie – Logis Hotel Le 120

Family run hotel on the Vendée regional cycling route in western France

Hotel Le 120 at La Châtaigneraie on the Vendée regional bike route may look a bit desolate and sparse from the outside but the feedback we've had from cyclists who stayed here was positive. We're told it's a locally run hotel, clean and efficient. We also contacted management about bikes and they told us cyclists were welcome and that there is a safe room in the hotel for overnight bike storage. They offer an "authentic" family friendly experience, which is a good thing given they are within reach of Puy du Fou, one of France'e most popular theme parks. They are also within reach of the wonderful Marais Poitevin marshlands – a cycling paradise of canals and waterways. Breakfast is provided each day – enjoy a sweet and savoury buffet of breads, pastries, brioches, cereals, fruits and cold meats, as well as honey from a local producer. There is also an in-house restaurant serving local cuisine. Twinsk doubles, triples and quads – ideal fro groups and families.
