The Auvergne is home to some spectacular cycling through France's ancient volcanic fields – both road biking and MTB. Camping Huttopia Royat is in the spa town of Royat – just outside the regional capital Clermont-Ferrand and at the foot of the iconic Puy de Dôme. The campsite has tent and campervan pitches, as well as fixed safari tents and cabins. Pool, children's activities and games room (including table football), plus cafe and bar areas. Electric MTBs available for hire from the campsite.
