With bar, bistro and restaurant on site, plus a garage for the bikes, this is a convenient overnight stop on the Meuse à velo.
5 things we like about Hotel Arcombelle
1. Location
Slightly unprepossessing from the road, the hotel’s location is super handy for the Meuse bike route. It’s only a couple of kilometres off the route and although they are uphill, it means you have a stunning view over the surrounding countryside.
2. Bar & bistro
With a bar, bistro and restaurant on site, there’s no need to ride further afield for food and drink. Being able to roll up and enjoy a cold drink within minutes was welcome, and the bistro menu was tasty and inexpensive. There’s a more formal restaurant in the hotel too.
3. Secure bike parking
The hotel has two large, locked garages on the opposite side of the main road with loads of space to lock bikes undercover overnight.
4. B&B
Our room had been recently refurbished and the breakfast – a basic buffet – had enough bread and individually-wrapped cheeses to make up a picnic for lunch.
5. Flexbility
It's a medium-sized hotel that's part of the Logis chain. There are 23 rooms, with prices starting at €76. There are also options for half-board (B&B + dinner).
