Campsites for the Tour de France in Britain

Published by Lyn on 12 June 2014

Looking for a campsite along the Tour de France route in Britain? Here's a map of sites starting in Yorkshire and heading south for the first three stages of the 2014 Tour.

I don't usually post non-France bike accommodation stuff, but with the Tour de France starting in Yorkshire this year, I've been sent a link to the interactive map below.

It highlights all the campsites along the Tour de France route through Yorkshire, and again as it makes its way down to London. Note it will be too late to book at many of these sites as accommodation will be at a premium, but these sites are as good a place as any to start if you still need somewhere to stay in Yorkshire, or on the Tour de France route as it heads down through Sheffield, Camabridge and into London.

See here for Tour de France accommodation in France once the Tour makes its way back across the Channel.

Map with thanks to Salop Leisure.

To recap on the first three stages:
Stage 1: Leeds-Harrogate, 190.5km, Saturday, July 5
Stage 2: York-Sheffield, 201km, Sunday, July 6
Stage 3: Cambridge-London, 155km, Monday, July 7
