Stage 5 of the 2015 Tour de France winds its way from Arras in Pas-de-Calais to Amiens in Picardy.

The Arras local authorities have been very proactive in supplying some excellent route info a lot earlier than many other regions.

See this great website, which includes a link to an interactive map and also the times the peloton is expected at various parts of the route. It's in French but easy enough to dicipher.

The caravan departs at 10.45am. The stage starts at 12.45pm with a processional depart near the British cemetery, Faubourg d'Amiens, in which 2650 soldiers are buried, including riders from cyclists' regiments. The 'real' depart takes place around 1pm at Anzin Saint Aubin.

Other memorials sites visited during the stage are can be found here – they include the Canadian memorial at Vimy Ridge, the Australian and South African memorials, and the Thiepval Memorial to the Missing.

The stage is expected to end in Amiens around 5.07pm.

Local road closures in the Arras area are on this page.

There are also several cycling events and rides in the area in the months leading up to the main event. You can check them out here.
