If you have an interest in all things France (or even just a few things France – like maybe coming for a cycling holiday), there is only one place to be this weekend if you're anywhere near London. Yep, it's France Show time again (see below for a discount code to save money on tickets, plus we are giving 20 tickets away on our Facebook page).
The annual Earl's Court show is the UK's largest France expo, with exhibitors covering all aspects of visiting, moving to, and/or living in France. Local tourist boards representing some of the most popular areas for cycling, including the parts of the Loire, Brittany and Poitou-Charentes, will be on hand with maps and advice to help you plan your cycling holiday. There will also be information on learning French, plus wine seminars and tastings.
Of particular interest to anyone thinking about cycling in France will be a talk by Adam Ruck at 2pm on Friday. The talk will be based on Ruck's book about cycling through France, and there will be the opportunity to meet Ruck and ask questions.
If you're a foodie, Michelin-starred chef Jean-Christophe-Novelli will be at the show on Saturday and Sunday, while popular food blogger Clotilde Dusoulier will be there on Saturday.
Freewheeling France readers can buy tickets online this week for £7 instead of the usual £10 advance purchase price (it's £13 if you leave it til you get to the door). Just click this link and enter the discount code web56 at the prompt or see here to win tickets (competition closes Wednesday midday French time).
Enjoy!
