Jessica emailed to ask about campsites along the Rhine River Cycle Route.
Hi there,
We are a family about to cycle the Rhine River bike route (Eurovelo 15). We were crazy enough to think it was a good idea to do it as part of our journey from Nepal to Scotland. We are planning to camp and thought it would be easy to find sites along the route. However we can't seem to find any info or campsites, although a lot about other more expensive accommodation.
Thank you for your help,
Jessica.

Hi Jessica,
You should also checkout the Michelin Camping Guide for France for the French legs (and the corresponding Michelin guides for the other countries). The Alan Rogers website is also good for searching sites.
For the French leg through Alsace, see the tourist website for campsites, though you'll need to go through and match sites to your route. See also the two downloadable brochures here, which have accommodation contacts on them.
Some countries are better developed for cycling than others - for the Dutch legs, see the Dutch national cycling website for ideas.
There are links to German and Swiss services on the offical website when you follow the country tabs, but these are rather hit and miss unless you read German/French, and I don't know wnough about cycling in these countries to advise.
Cheers,
Lyn.
