La Périgordine is an annual sportive in the Montignac-Lascaux area of the Dordogne. Here's how to sign up.
Where is it?
It starts near Montignac, a town on the Vézère river in the Dordogne department. The area is home to the Lascaux pre-historic caves and the unique visitor centres that re-create the amazing wall art from that period. Do not visit this area without saving time for the caves!
When is La Périgordine?
The 2019 edition is on June 9.
What to expect?
Some picture postcard views, lovely countryside, flowing rivers and stunning cliffs. There will be a real mix of participants and even e-bikes are allowed. You can also book meals for you and your family during the day.
How far do I have to ride?
There are 6 circuits in 2019: the 75km, 100km, 130km, 155km, 180km and 210km.
There are other events, including a cycling event for kids and walks, over the weekend.
You can find all the details, including how to enter, on the official site here.
