If you need affordable cycling accommodation in Morlaix, Brittany (maybe en route to the ferry in Roscoff), then read on – this one's for you.

I recently received a nice email from a French lady called Erwan, who lives in Morlaix, which is something of a cycling hub in the Finistère department of Brittany (it's at the crossroads of the Velodyssey Atlantic Coast route and the cross-Channel Tour de Manche route).
"I am about 27 kilometres from Roscoff," she wrote. "I live in a large house in central Morlaix and during the year I have students staying here. My son, who is a keen cyclist and living in Scotland, advised me to contact you about offering my accommodation services to cyclists.
"I can offer one or two rooms, or a space in my garden for a tent, a safe area for bikes in my garage, bathroom and breakfast."
She asks for just €20 per person or €40 per night per couple. What an offer! So we've added Erwan to our Brittany cycling accommodation list.
You can contact Erwan (she speaks English) on +33 (0)2 98 88 85 26 or email her at eansquer@yahoo.fr (she doesn't have a website).

If you're looking for a self-catering option, then check out this 17th century French gem. Manoir de Coatudual is Fiona and Scott's oasis near Carantec beach. It's got 4 bedrooms and sleeps upto seven. Bikes can be kept inside or locked in the outside store. Great kitchen for pre-ride breakfasts and post-ride feasts. You can email Fiona and Scott on scottpowney@hotmail.com or call them on +44 (0)7941 293 416.
