Reader Q&A: Bike hire in Nimes

Published by Lyn on 23 April 2015

Louise emailed to ask about bike hire in Nimes in Languedoc for a cycle tour to Perpignan. Here's what I came up with.

Bonjour Lyn

I am hoping you can help me.

I have searched the internet and cannot find any bike hire shops in Nimes? This seems very odd – it there somewhere in Nimes we can rent bikes from?

I am trying to organising hire of 2 bicycles (VTC) for 2 adults – for 10 days. Complete with all gear – helmets, panniers, locks etc.

We intend to cycle tour through the upper Languedoc – starting in Nimes, finishing in Perpignan.

Merci,
Louise.

Hi Louise

I'm not sure if you intend to take the bikes back to Nimes from Perpignan?

If so, Village Velo – around 25km north of Nimes – have all you need. They may deliver to Nimes, but I'm not sure – definitely worth an email.

If you don't want to take them back to Nimes, then try one of the delivery services so they can drop off in Nimes and pick up in Perpignan.

You can see bike delivery page here – look at the 'Languedoc' and 'Southern France' listings.

Cheers,
Lyn.
