Question:

We would like to ride the Canal de Garonne for one day near Montauban, about half way between Toulouse and Agen. Do you know where we could rent a bike for the day?

Answer:

Hi Kelly

There are a few bike hire options in Montauban, which is in the Tarn-et-Garonne department in the Midi-Pyrénées (map here).

Try Cycles MTC and Aloisir (bikes €15 a day).

Montauban also has a public bike share scheme, so that may be an option depending where you intend riding (it's just €3 a day).

For general info on the Canal de Garonne, see this article

Please give me a shout if you need more help.
