Reader Q&A: Bike hire in Calvi, Corsica

Published by Lyn on 21 June 2015

Kate wrote from the US to ask about bike hire in Calvi for a cycling holiday on Corsica. Here's what I emailed her back.

Hello Lyn,

We have 4 people interested in renting road bikes this September when we are visiting Corsica.  My husband and I ride Specialized Roubaix and Ruby in the US and are both size medium (+-51/52).  We would bring our own helmets, shoes and Speedplay pedals.  Our friends would be 1 small (48?) and either a 52 /54 in size- they will also bring their own shoes and pedals & helmets. We will arrive in Calvi on September 14 and would probably pick up the bikes on the 15of September and keep them for 10 days or so.

Can you send us your rental rates (weekly?) and tell us what kind of road bikes you rent at your shop?

Thank you,
Kate.

Hi Kate

My website, freewheelingfrance.com, is a free information site for cycling in France – I don't actually offer bike rental myself.

For bike hire from Calvi, try these guys – they should be able to help you out.

Also in the north – further east at Bastia – is Europe Active.

Please tell both I sent you and they will help if they can.

Cheers

Lyn.

PS I usually post reader questions on the blog as reader Q&As in case they can help others (and to save me answering the same questions twice). I hope this is OK. I never include full names or any contact info.
