A family-run chateau and restaurant close to Mont Ventoux and the Vaucluse Hills, Château de Mazan is an ideal base for combining a cycling holiday with a spot of comfort. The hotel buzzes with cyclists year-round, and there is a massive, dedicated bike store for cycles. When we visited, a group of Belgians who had just conquered the Ventoux were enjoying the outdoor swimming pool. Many of the rooms face out onto the gardens or the terrace. Rooms are modern (with super showers) and fully air-conditioned. The chateau itself has been elegantly restoreed to echo its former glory. Free and fast wifi access. Lots of European languages spoken (the French owner Fred has lived and worked all over the world, including in the UK). ** We've stayed here - read our review **
