As the name and the photo above both suggest, Mike and Wendy's set up at Rhino Velo Pyrénées is geared 100% for cyclists. They're based in the foothills of the Pyrenees near the village of Crampagna in the Saurat Valley. The Ariege river flows at the bottom of the garden, making this an ideal spot for rides into the hills or gentler bimbles along the valley (10 minutes up the road there's a flat 40km voie verte to the medieval town of St Girons). A 15-minute ride south and you're into the 'Pyrénées proper', opening up Tour de France cols including Plateau de Beille, Port de Lers and Mur de Peguerrei. The four bedrooms here can sleep upto 10 people. There's a chill-out room for before and after rides, and a fridge stocked with cold drinks and post-ride snacks.
