Aux Charmes de Maintenon is what you get when successful haute couture Parisian milliners pack it all in and move to the country to start their own B&B. While the place has oodles of beauty and charm, it's overwhelmingly their personal touch that makes Aux Charme de Maintenon. There's an exquisite landscaped French garden behind the house, plus a sauna and a swimming pool. Carmen's homecooked tables d'hotes features foie gras, la coquille Saint-Jacques and creme brûlée (and of course a good local wine). Aux Charme de Maintenon – within spitting distance of Chateau de Maintenon – is also close to the start/finish of the Maintenon leg of the Veloscenic. Free wifi. English and French spoken.
