Close to the EuroVelo 19 Meuse cycle route and the voie verte, Logis Hotel Restaurant Le Relais is conveniently located for sightseeing around the Verdun battlefields. The hotel has an automated check-in outside core hours, and inside it’s clean and bright. There was a little patch of lawn, a hedge and some garden chairs behind our room – somewhere to relax in the sun and rig up a washing line to dry our cycling clothes. We locked our bikes to the window box, but there’s a small garage too. The rooms have a kettle for tea and coffee (still not that common for low and mid-range hotels in France). Photo: ©Logis Hôtels
