As the name suggests, Un Goût De Normandie offers you a taste of Normandy over the course of a long weekend. If taking lunches in restaurants overlooking the sea without worrying that you have a ton of kilometres to ride in the afternoon takes your fancy, then this tour may appeal. The itinerary takes you around Normandy on a 200-mile route over a long weekend. Take in some of Normandy's best beaches, restaurants and villages, including the D-Day beaches, Bayeux, Caen and Saint-Lo. Peter at World At My Cleats has ridden in Normandy and Brittany for more than 10 years. He runs a London-based travel agency and has recently branched out to offer cycling holidays. This trip is flexible – it's offered self-guided with Garmin routes and maps, but you can request a fully guided experience if you prefer having someone to ride with. Either way, a support vehicle with spare parts and a replacement bike is on hand in case you need it. Ride from a fixed base – a restored Norman farmhouse in rural La Manche, where breakfast and dinner will be provided every day (and topped with a gourmet feast each night). The house has three double rooms and will comfortably accommodate six riders, making this trip ideal for solo riders or small groups.
