7 nights / 6 days
The gorges in the Tarn and Lozere departments are some of the deepest and most spectacular in Europe – and they are surprisingly undiscovered and rarely cycled. The area is set to the north of Montpellier at the western edge of the Cévennes National Park. This self-guided tour is based at Mellow Velo Aventures' own our self-catering accommodation, so you'll have a familiar base to return to at the end of each day without having to worry about luggage transfers. Tessa and Geoff have over 20 years of local knowledge to call upon and have planned these varied and interesting routes based on their local favourites – and on your preferred daily mileage. You'll head out for six rides over a period of seven days. On the rest day you can cycle off-piste, try MTB-ing or electric biking, go canoeing, walking, pot holing, or simply relax. You'll be provided with a pack of rides with maps and full route notes, and a GPS device with turn-by-turn instructions for each ride. You'll also receive a breakfast hamper for seven days and a bike box with spares, tools, gels, hydration tablets and everything else you need to get the most out of your cycling holiday.
All accommodation has been checked to ensure it meets our cycle-friendly criteria. We also deal with tour operators personally before adding them to the site. To recommend a great French cycling holiday or a nice bike-friendly place to stay, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
