Paris - Hôtel Adèle & Jules
Grand building and funky decor with a bike friendly attitude
The 9th arrondissement of Paris is called Opera, home as it is to the Paris Opera which resides in the splendid Palais Garnier. There are also lots of tall 'Hausmann'-style buidings in this area, with Hôtel Adèle & Jules being one such example. The rooms are large, new and individually styled as well as being fully air-conditioned. In fact this was recommneded to us by some readers who used it as a base at the start and end of their cycling trip. They report that the hotel also stored their bike boxes in their conference room for them at no extra charge. They also offer bike rental if you don't already have a bike.
