The Mediterranean cycle path winds its way through diverse and varied landscapes from Provence to the Mediterranean coast. You'll start your self-guided tour in Avignon, where the Palais des Papes looks over the medieval alleys. From there, ride into Provence, reaching the postcard village of St Rémy-de-Provence, a small Provençal jewel and accompanied by the sweet singing of cicadas and the pleasant smell of heather. In the Camargue, encounter flamingoes and wild horses. In Aigues-Mortes, gaze over the reddish hues of the salt marshes. The Mediterranean Cycle Route continues along the sand dunes and coast to the city of Montpellier and onto the Mediterranean coast at Sète, where you can relax in front of a nice plate of fresh seafood. The price of this tour includes bikes, luggage transfers, accommodation with breakfast and detailed route information.
