The charming Villa Eymery is in a small village in the central Alps in the Lyon-Grenoble-Chambery triangle. It's close to the bike routes of the Chartreuse mountains in one direction and the Rhone river valley in the other. The villa is run by Chris and Jan, Australians who have been coming to France for the past 20 years (most of their time has been spent cycling – Chris has been road riding for more than 30 years). Whether you're looking for col challenges or gentler local rides, Chris can point you in the right direction. The villa has lovely garden for relaxing in with a cold beer or local wine. Home-cooked dinners or Aussie/French BBQ available (the organic fruit and vegetable garden supplies the kitchen in summer). There are five bedrooms, making it ideal for families and cycling groups. Free wifi. Workshop and bike store. French and English spoken (plus TdF telecasts in English if you're staying in July). Bike hire and airport transfers can also be arranged.
All accommodation has been checked to ensure it meets our cycle-friendly criteria. We also deal with tour operators personally before adding them to the site. To recommend a great French cycling holiday or a nice bike-friendly place to stay, please email [email protected]
