Family camping on the beautiful Atlantic Coast in Brittany
30, Rue Luc Robet
Price from: £15
Open: May to September
Located near the sandy coast and pretty marine town of Douarnenez with its cafe-lined marina and wonderful seafood restaurants, this site is a good base from which to explore this part of coastal Brittany (bike hire is available onsite if you don't have your own wheels). There is already a superb coastal hiking path along this section of the coast and the new Route 5 Littoral-Roscoff-Saint Nazaire is being developed to open it up to bikes. A voie verte already connects Douarnenez to Quimper via a disused railway line. For after your ride, the Woodpecker restaurant and pub provides local food and drinks (including home-made pizzas and local cider). Use the indoor and outdoor pools to soothe the legs after your day on the bike.
All accommodation has been checked to ensure it meets our cycle-friendly criteria. We also deal with tour operators personally before adding them to the site. To recommend a great French cycling holiday or a nice bike-friendly place to stay, please email [email protected]
