Meander through the French countryside on a self-guided break

Level of difficulty:
This super break gives you the chance to experience the countryside of south-west France at its best. It's based at the bike-friendly house owned by Jean-Pierre and Clare, a Franco-English couple with a love of the outdoors in general and the Lot-et-Garonne in particular (Jean-Pierre grew up here so he knows the roads around here as well as anyone). Their village house in Buzet-sur-Baise (halfway between Bordeaux and Toulouse) is just 500 metres from the Canal de Garonne – meander along its towpaths or ask the guys to put together a more challenging inland route for you. Why not try a weekend package? Excellent value for money, it includes three nights' accommodation, bike hire and route info. Relax near the pool after your ride, explore the local village, or Clare can help arrange wine-tasting, kayaking or other activities for you. This is a perfect, stress-free getaway in one of France's lesser-explored areas.
