Wouldn't life be good if all cycling cafes doubled as B&Bs (and vice versa)? As the name suggests, Café Vélo Nevers is a cafe with a special focus on cyclists. And, as an added bonus, it also has a B&B upstairs that sleeps 9 riders. There are 2 rooms sleeping 2 and 3 people with a shared kitchen. There is also a self-catering apartment that sleeps 4 people. The cafe is in Nevers, right on the EuroVelo 6 Loire à Velo bike route and also ideally placed for anyone heading down to join the Burgundy wine and canal routes. There are rooms with wonderful views over the Loire, plus it goes without saying that there is stacks of nourishment on offer to fuel a day on the bike – as well as the best coffee in town. The owners, Anna and Charles, are local (English-speaking) cyclists with plenty of local route info for tourers, road riders and gravel riders. They can also help arrange train station transfers and baggage transfers, as well as provide tools for basic repairs (Café Vélo Nevers carries the official Accueil Velo label). English, French and Dutch, plus a bit of Spanish and Italian spoken.
