Bédoin, at the foot of Mt Ventoux, is at the heart of one of the most popular and varied cycling regions in France. There is, of course, Ventoux – the Giant of Provence – looming large over it all, but there are also lots of other routes for all abilities from your doorstep. Surrounded by fields and truffle woods, these two stylish houses stand side-by-side, with views south towards the Luberon. The Flop House is a lovely 19th century farmhouse, while La Maison de Lune, reached via its own lane, was converted from the old outbuildings. Lavender, rosemary, wisteria, fruit trees and lawns, each house has its own garden and child-safe swimming pool. If you are a cyclist who likes laid-back luxury, you’ll find it here. Bédoin and its restaurants, cafes and market are only minutes away by bike. Secure cycle shed. Free Wifi.
