The Voie Verte de la Vallée de la Marne (Marne Valley Greenway) makes an ideal day ride to explore the vineyards of the Champagne.

The Voie Verte de la Vallée de la Marne (Marne Valley Greenway) starts in Damery, 30km(ish) of Reims, and continues on to Condé-sur-Marne via Épernay. It's a car-free route that follows the lateral canal of Marne. The route is well sign-posted and has many picnic spots to allow you to stop and enjoy peaceful water-side views and bird song.
