Hi,
I am looking for a tour operator which provides self-guided cycling trips in Languedoc and Provence. Starting @ Sept. 25 or 26, 2011, I am interested in two weeks of cycling and Languedoc and/or Provence.
Thank you, David

Hi David
Thanks for your email.
There are a number of companies running self-guided tours in the south of France, especially around Provence and Languedoc. Your problem might be that many of the tours (and prices) are for just one week.
Cycling Languedoc, by one of our contributors, is an excellent resource, especially for independent cycling.
For Provence, one of the tourist boards has a dedicated cycling site. They have route suggestions and accommodation booking services in case you want to explore the possibility of doing the trip independently of an operator.
Cyclomundo, Cycling for Softies and Hooked on Cycling are all worth contacting/exploring
Other options, depending on your budget etc, are:
French Cycling Holidays, Inn Travel, and Headwater.
I hope that helps.
Do let me know how you get on.
I will post your question on our messageboards in case anyone else has recommendations.
Cheers
Lyn.

Hi David,Gerry from Cycling Languedoc here. I'm literally right in the middle of building this page at the moment, so the timing is good! Here is a new page I'm adding to my site that will, hopefully, list most of the cycle tour companies in Languedoc.Best,Gerry

Hi David,
Darren from Languedoc Cycling Holidays here. I run a b&b and gite business with my wife Emma in the lovely village of Autignac, 20km's North of Beziers. As keen cyclist's and previous owners of a ski and bike business in the Alps we are setting up a specialist company to cater for people who are looking for fixed base holidays in this stunning region. The main site is still under construction but you can see some of the packages we are offering by visiting our b&b site;

We also know of several other nice b&b's in the Languedoc and are going to be linking up with some of them to offer touring holidays.......
Best regards
Darren
