Calling club riders, cycling groups, couples, singles, men, women, young, old, semi pros and weekend potterers – you're all welcome. 
We're holding a Ventoux social ride weekend on May 23-26, 2019. Our 2018 weekend was lots of fun and we had riders of all abilities – both sportive riders, leisure riders and even first-time road bikers. So we're going to do it again in 2019, riding the classic TDF route from Bedoin. You're all invited, safe in the knowledge that there's no conceivable way you'll be slower than me. We're again organising this weekend in partnership with Gerry and John at 44-5 Cyclng Tours, local Ventoux specialists. It's a fully supported weekend: three nights' accommodation with breakfasts, a warmup ride on the Friday to size up the Giant on the horizon, and then a Ventoux climb on the Saturday. We'll also have a further self-guided Sunday morning ride for anyone who can hang around (it'll be a long weekend in the UK). There's also a welcome meal on the Thursday. Single rooms, airport/station transfers and bike hire all available for a surcharge. Just bring your climbing legs**.

Accompanied by experienced battlefield guide, this trip allows you to gain a unique insight into the D Day landings and the subsequent battle for Normandy while also enjoying some very fine cycling. It meanders from Caen through the Calvados, Orne and Auge departments, which all saw heavy fighting in the summer of 1944. The trip – fully guided and supported – provides plenty of time to stop and look at sites and for moments of reflection and remembrance. You don’t have to be a veteran to appreciate what went on here 75 years ago. The itinerary includes the site where the only Victoria Cross was awarded on D-Day; where Panzer ace Michael Wittman caused havoc on a British convoy; the smallest Commonwealth War Cemetery in France; and where a fleeing army desperately tried to escape. This is a six-stage tour over some of the most famous cols in the French Alps, such as Alpe d’Huez, Glandon, Iseran and Galibier, and dipping down into the Provence region for Puy Saint Vincent and the Izoard. Throughout the rides you'll be fully supported as you cover about 60 miles (100km) a day (can be adjusted for riders of differing abilities). The tour is based around small campsites in stunning areas with views over the mountains and lakes. This is a small, personalised tour run by Dutcho-born cyclist Matthijs, a professional chef who works and cycles in the Alps. He's branching out to share the best bits with the rest of us. The tour price includes includes campsite fees, support, GPX files, luggage transport, bars, powder and a lunch break. A contribution of €25 per day ensures you get fuelled up with a good breakfast and dinner.

Cyclists Ben and Maddison specialise in catered, self-guided cycling holidays for all abilities – test your fitness and cycling prowess by day and relax in luxury by night. You'll have sole occupancy of their 5 bedroom chalet and grounds throughout your stay – ideal for groups of between 4 and 10 riders. The Savoie region of the French Alps is a real hot spot for road cycling and their chalet is located right in the heart of it. Whether you're looking to test yourself up some of the incredible climbs, or have a gentle cycle through the valley, you can do it straight from the door.
