A short blog to update you on the release of a nice-looking new book about cycling in France.
France On Two Wheels: Six Long Bike Rides for the Bon Vivant Cyclist by has just been released by Short Books. It's written by established travel journalist Adam Ruck, who is a regular contributor to the Telegraph (in fact, a version of one of the rides in the book, from Lake Geneva to Normandy, originally appeared in the paper's travel section.
Other routes covered in the book include Paris to Avignon, cycling from the source of the Loire to the sea, Biarritz to Burgundy, and from the Cevennes to the Atlantic. The pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela is also covered.
